My Story

I'm Dr. Olivia.

I am a naturopathic doctor and cardiac nurse and have worked with hundreds of patients with heart disease over the past 16 years. I know that women are dying unnecessarily from heart disease and I believe women deserve better heart health care.

After working in cardiac critical care and caring for the sickest of the sick, I began feeling deep in my heart that there must be a better way. Seeing so many people falling ill and dying from a largely preventable disease just breaks my heart! So I've made it my mission to remove heart disease as the top killer of women. I empower women by educating them about their unique risk, and advocate for a new heart health care paradigm - one that incorporates women's unique risk and honours their unique relationship with heart health and disease.

I know how overwhelming it can be to make the right choices for your heart and your health. There is so much information on the internet, even experts disagree about the best heart health diet or approach to prevention. Allow me to be your guide. I can help lessen the overwhelm so you can feel confident you are making the right choices for YOU!

Perhaps you have risk factors for heart disease, have been told you require medications, have a family member with heart disease, or have been devastated by the loss of a loved one from a heart attack. I am so glad you have found me, because this does not have to be you! Together we can change your genetic destiny.

I look forward to working with you so you can live your life without the fear of heart disease.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Toronto. I went on to complete my Critical Care Certificate at George Brown College and later graduated from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto in 2014. My career in health care afforded me the privilege of combining my love of travel with volunteering for underprivileged communities. I participated in a medical mission to Peru in 2007 and to Nicargua in 2013 with Natural Doctors International. I also helped to delivery primary care to the members of First Nations Communities in Northern Ontario.

I am a member in good standing with both the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and the College of Nurses of Ontario, as well as the Registered Nurse's Association of Ontario - Complimentary Therapies Nurses' Interest Group.
